Happy Holidays!

Happy Holidays everyone!! The days only get longer from here (which means more daylight to run in). I hope that your holiday is as enjoyable as mine looks like it will be.

Things are getting back on track with my training. With the holiday coming up, I wanted to get this post out there as I am not sure if I'll be running Sunday and if I do... I am not sure if I'll have a chance to post. Either way, I am not going to go for the full 20m!! I think I'll be happy to get a solid 16 miles in and ensure that my adductor strain is healing properly. I got a solid 12 miles in today (12.1 miles in 89min) on the treadmill. This works great for listening to longer podcasts for the first hour and then crank up the speed a bit and put some tunes on for the next 30min. Plus it is great for the cold weather, bathrooms, & food.

Slow Recovery

Slow recovery... A week off of running and I was able to get 6 miles in. It is still a little tight so I will be taking it easy for a week with lots of stretching and low mile counts. This sucks - home for the holiday (no restrictions on training due to travel) and I injure myself

Here come the injury reports

Everything was good this week, figured out how to get around the over an hour problem at the gym (run for 30min on one and then switch machines). Although Thursday I ran outside and had some pain on my inner thigh when I was done. I am thinking it is a gracilis or adductor magnus strain.. Level 1 or Level 2 - more info on adductor strain.

I hope it isn't too bad but am going to have to take it easy this week...
